DESCRIPTION:The Office of Senator Booker is hosting a Veteran Small Business Forum. This event will focus on veteran owned small businesses (VOSBs) and veterans that are looking to start their own business\, and will take place on Thursday\, November 10\, 2016 at Kean University\, Kean University North Avenue Academic Building (NAAB) – First Floor\, Corner of Morris Ave. and North Ave. Entrance on North Ave. Union\, NJ 07083. \nThe event will include a panel discussion as well as breakout sessions. Owners of businesses at every point of development – from the newly created to established companies – are encouraged to attend. State representatives\, officials from the Small Business Administration\, Department of Defense\, Veterans Administration and industry partners\, as well as lenders of varying sizes\, will be in attendance to guide meaningful discussions and answer questions during the panel and the breakout sessions. Speakers will address access to capital\, digital marketing strategies\, government agencies that support veteran entrepreneurship\, supplier diversity programs and military base contracting. There is also a one-hour networking session.
