About the American Veteran Owned Small Business Association (aVOSBa)
The American Veteran Owned Small Business Association (aVOSBa) serves as the organizational and advocacy arm of the Veteran Owned Business Project, providing a unified voice and support network for veteran entrepreneurs and business professionals throughout the United States.
Membership in the American Veteran Owned Small Business Association is automatic and included for all active members of the Veteran Owned Business Project. This includes veteran owned businesses, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs), military spouse owned businesses, nonprofit organizations, government contractors, consultants, professional service providers, and independent representatives who participate in and support the Veteran Owned Business Project community.
As an association, aVOSBa was established to strengthen connections among veteran business owners while promoting entrepreneurship, economic opportunity, professional development, and collaboration throughout the veteran business community. The association serves as a platform through which members can network, share knowledge, exchange business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and support one another’s growth and success.
Beyond business development, aVOSBa is dedicated to advancing the interests of veteran entrepreneurs by increasing public awareness of veteran owned businesses and encouraging consumers, corporations, and government agencies to support those who have served our nation. The association recognizes that military veterans possess unique leadership qualities, work ethic, and mission-driven determination that make them valuable contributors to America’s economy and business landscape.
The American Veteran Owned Small Business Association also promotes the continued spirit of service that defines the military community. Members are encouraged to support veteran-focused charities, nonprofit organizations, mentorship programs, employment initiatives, and community service efforts that directly benefit servicemembers, veterans, wounded warriors, military families, caregivers, and survivors.
Through the collective strength of its membership, aVOSBa helps create opportunities that extend beyond individual businesses. By fostering collaboration, encouraging veteran hiring, promoting business growth, and supporting organizations that serve the military community, the association works to ensure that veterans continue making a positive impact long after their military service has ended.
Today, the American Veteran Owned Small Business Association represents a growing nationwide network of veteran entrepreneurs, business leaders, nonprofit organizations, and supporters who share a common commitment to service, leadership, entrepreneurship, and community involvement.
Together, we are building a stronger veteran business community while helping veterans, their families, and the nation prosper.
