The American Veteran Owned Business Association’s mission is straightforward in principle, yet powerful in purpose:
To empower military veteran business owners with the resources, visibility, connections, and opportunities they need to succeed; to encourage the hiring and support of fellow veterans and military family members; and to foster a culture of service that gives back to the veteran community.
We believe that veterans bring unmatched leadership, discipline, integrity, adaptability, and mission-focused determination to the business world. By helping veteran entrepreneurs build strong and sustainable businesses, we create opportunities that extend far beyond individual success. Every thriving veteran owned business has the potential to create jobs, strengthen local communities, stimulate economic growth, and provide meaningful career opportunities for fellow veterans transitioning from military service to civilian life.
The American Veteran Owned Business Association is committed to promoting collaboration among veteran owned businesses, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs), active duty military entrepreneurs, military spouse owned businesses, reservists, National Guard members, and supporters of the veteran business community. Through networking, education, mentorship, advocacy, strategic partnerships, and business development opportunities, we strive to create an environment where veteran entrepreneurs can connect, grow, and prosper.
Our mission also recognizes the importance of continuing the tradition of service long after military careers have ended. We encourage veteran business owners to support military and veteran-focused nonprofit organizations, charities, and community programs that directly impact servicemembers, veterans, wounded warriors, military spouses, caregivers, and their families. By giving back to the community that has given so much to our nation, veteran entrepreneurs help ensure that future generations of veterans receive the support and opportunities they deserve.
